How does it work?.

Most of my ceramic pieces are fired twice. It goes like this: I make it out of clay- it dries slowly- I fire it at 950°C- I sand it down and clean it- I glaze it- it gets fired again at 1250°- Its ready! All jewellery that are painted with gold get fired a third time. Making ceramics is a slow process.

Made to order.

If you see something that you like, and you want it a bit differently, or customized, I can make it for you. Custom made stoneware, unique to your business/ home (but always in my style) is possible too. Just ask me!

Timing

Designing and making handmade ceramics takes time. The pieces should dry slowly to prevent glazing mistakes. So you should at least take one month in account, between your order and the finished piece(s). This timing varies due to many pieces/ larger pieces/ in case I have many orders.

Imperfect makes perfect

My goal isn’t to make perfect pieces, in shape or colour. I love the irregular shapes, the small stain here and there, rough and unfinished edges. It’s who I am, what I love and my take on things in life.

All necklaces and studs are gold plated. This means that they are made out of 925 silver, covered with a thin layer of real gold. The silver makes them really strong, and the gold on top makes for a beautiful finish. After a long time, the gold could fade. You can prolong this by taking it off before showering or swimming, and not spray perfume directly on it.

How to take care of your stoneware?

All stoneware is fired at a high temperature, and glazed with a quality own made glaze. Every piece is also food safe. This means they are able to be washed in a dishwasher. However, since these are handmade products, it’s always better to wash them by hand.
